We are very similar to Mike, we just use a different letter to designate it is a “green part”. We don’t say used to avoid stigma of it being broken or in poor shape. Every green part is pulled by an experienced
tech so only good items make to other techs

Anytime we take a part off a machine it must be closed out with a part number. If we are ordering a replacement that will be put back on the machine it was pulled from, it comes in a normal cost. If the part
is coming off a machine that will be trashed it comes in a $0 cost, and we add a T at the end. Hope that helps.

Good afternoon, Everyone
I wanted to say it was nice meeting everyone at the meeting earlier this week. I know there was an agenda for when we split but I have another question. We have multiple
shops in 2 states and routinely pull parts to fix client machines. What I was wondering is, do any of you all put those items into inventory so they can be tracked by your other branches. We currently do not do that, but I am floating this around. I would
add a U at the end of the part number to signify used and bring them into inventory at $0. Do you all have any better ideas on how I could accomplish this?
